Staff Recognition & Appreciation

We like to recognise and praise staff who are going above and beyond within the scope of their role with employee awards including Employee of the Month and Team Player of the Month – Golden Goose. The Golden Goose recognises an employee who has been helping, assisting and encouraging others.

We celebrate birthdays, host weekly office “Friday night drinks” as well as a monthly get together where Roberts Crosbie Mortensen and Delaney Roberts Specialist Family Lawyers celebrate ‘end of month’ together.

We have three Specialist Accredited Solicitors in our team to provide mentoring and guidance to more junior lawyers.

Our staff are motivated by both a highly competitive salary as well as a generous commission scheme that can see them far out earn their peers at other firms.

Open communication

Each Monday morning we have a firm wide meeting where we share current figures and how we are going against our targets. We have updates from HR, Marketing and our company Directors’. Our level of transparency is unique. We believe that open communication and ease of access to key information is essential to ensure everyone is on the same page and focused on achieving the same targets.

We have a sister firm Roberts Crosbie Mortensen Lawyers who are Business and Litigation specialists. The two firms have a friendly rivalry where each company wants to come out on top with regards to monthly billings and collections achieved. It’s a fun, unofficial competition between the offices.

For everyday use we have an intranet where we share firm news, staff achievements, our Legal Legends leader board, upcoming events and even upcoming annual leaves.

Standard events we have on throughout the year include:

Awarded to the highest fee earner/support each quarter with an appropriate leader in the business. Share your thoughts, exchange ideas, discuss your career.

The Legal Legends Employee Incentive Program.

Our Legal Legends program is a unique employee recognition program.

The program is open to all employees, points are earned for various performance, client experience, marketing and business development related achievements. For example, achieving financial targets, generating referrals, receiving a google review, drafting articles and more.

Corresponding to each point is a monetary contribution to a quarterly cash prize and an equal contribution to a bi-annual holiday prize.

Points are tallied at the end of each quarter with 40% of the accumulated cash prize going to the employee with the highest points, 40% going to an employee drawn randomly and 20% going to the highest support staff point earner.

Every six (6) months all points are tallied again and put into a hat. The lucky person who has their name drawn out of the hat this time wins a choice of 2 holidays with spending money!
